Testimonials

In 2007, I was the proud recipient of the Judy Everett Memorial Scholarship from the Foundation. This was used to obtain my Certified Mortgage Instructor designation through the Institute of Mortgage Lending (IML), which allowed me to turn a good paying job into a rewarding career in training people new to the industry.~ Tracy SandersonDirector of Mortgage Industry Foundation

On July 9, 1992, at the age of 21, I sustained a spinal cord injury in a diving accident. The grant I received from the Foundation assisted in the purchase of voice dictation software that enabled me to speak words I would otherwise have to type using a mouth stick and keyboard. The Foundation's grant has had a significant impact on my ability to succeed.~ Kevin M. Hackman

As a breast cancer survivor I have learned never to procrastinate. One of my unfulfilled goals in life was receiving my college degree. Because of the financial assistance from the Foundation, I completed my B.A. and am pursing a Master’s Degree – an asset that will open many doors for me in the mortgage industry.~ Karen Kors

I am so thankful for the opportunity that the Foundation has given me with the scholarship to obtain my "Certified Mortgage Instructor" (CMI) designation. Although I have been in the industry since 1992, I just recently realized the need for education in our industry. I worked at a wholesale lenders office which put me in contact with other loan officers across the states and was astounded at the lack of knowledge. I look forward to sharing my information about our industry to others to help them make ethical decisions.~ Carol K.

I have been a Florida resident for over 25 years. I am presently employed at SunTrust Bank, East Central Florida as a Residential Mortgage Underwriter. I have been with SunTrust for over 15 years. One of my unfulfilled personal goals in life was receiving my college degree. Because of the financial assistance I received from the Foundation, I completed my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Organizational Management. It enriched both my professional and personal life. Once I obtained my BA, I decided that I wanted to go on and get my Master’s Degree in Business Administration. And, because of the financial assistance from the Foundation, I graduated and have received my MBA as well. The educational opportunities which the Foundation has enabled me to achieve will be an asset and will open many doors for me professionally in the mortgage industry.~ Karen
